Yellow Jersey Cycle Insurance has just released an infographic comparing the fees charged by major European airlines for transporting your bicycle. The insurance company based its comparison on an economy class ticket.
We learn that the cheapest package is Monarch 's, at €30, but on some flights it will cost you nothing with British Airways , Swiss Air and Tap .
Air Berlin offers the most expensive package, with prices ranging from €70 to €165. Most airlines limit baggage weight to 32 kg.
With Thomas Cook , Ryanair and Monarch you will have to make do with 30 kg and only 25 kg for Norwegian and 23 kg for Aer Lingus .
