A clear objective: to showcase themselves and play the stages
The Cofidis team, which we support at Buds -Sports, has just officially announced the seven riders who will start the Tour de France Femmes with Zwift , this Saturday, August 1st in Lausanne.
Nine stages, a Grand Départ in Switzerland and an arrival in Nice: the program is packed, and the announcement was eagerly awaited by us, especially since our partnership with the training program is built on the ground, where the equipment and the athletes are really put to the test.
Cofidis' strategy is clear and deliberate: no protected leader in the general classification, but an aggressive race, stage after stage. Breakaways on tricky days, opportunities whenever the road climbs, and a chance to shine in bunch sprints.
The designated leader for the sprints is Amalie Dideriksen, the reigning Danish champion and winner of the Région Pays de la Loire Tour this season. On the uphill sections, Julie Bego, Ema Comte, Malwina Mul, and Nikola Nosková will have a clear run.
Mélanie Briot, the sports director, sums up the instructions: the team is not aiming for the overall, but intends to mark the race in its own way, by going after breakaways on some days and a sprint result with Amalie on others.
This is Cofidis' fifth consecutive participation, having been present at every edition since the event was relaunched in 2022.

Three runners to watch closely
Amalie Dideriksen, the sprint specialist. At 30, the Dane arrives brimming with confidence: national road race title and victory at the Région Pays de la Loire Tour this season. She is formidable in classic sprints, and even more of an asset when the stage has been tough enough to eliminate the pure sprinters.
Julie Bego, the confirmed revelation. The 21-year-old Frenchwoman donned the white jersey of best young rider from the very first stage in 2025, only relinquishing it at the end of the final day. She returns with the status of a rider to watch on the hilly stages, and is among the profiles identified for the breakaway.
Ema Comte, for the first time. Also 21, she's discovering the Tour de France after a great season in stage races: 4th overall in the Bretagne Ladies Tour, 4th on a stage of the CIC-Tour Féminin des Pyrénées. A climber whose profile should suit the Alpine course.
