Thanks to high-density foam padding and a rigid shell, your rear derailleur will be fully protected from shocks and scratches that may occur during transport.
The REAR BIKE PROTECT is compatible and highly recommended with all covers that require removing both wheels of the bike.

It does indeed seem to fit snugly and fits inside the classic train bag cover.
Just make sure to include two notches in the upper part of the cover so that the stays of a luggage rack can be slid through (common when touring).

Very good protection for the derailleur.
It's difficult to put it in a bikepacking bag, but you can't have flexibility and rigidity in the same accessory.
