Do I need additional accessories if I buy A transport bag for bike Buds-Sports ?

The bag itself is sufficient for carrying the bike. However, if you want to maximize your bike's safety during transport, we strongly advise you to add the accessories.

We're never safe from mishandling during transport that could damage the bike or its structure. That's why we've created a complete range of innovative accessories that effectively protect your bike, guaranteeing safe transportation.
What accessories are recommended for the TRAINBAG TRAVEL ?

Here's a list of accessories we recommend to go with my bag TRAINBAG TRAVEL :

  • FRAME PROTECT MAXI : a complete frame protector to fully protect your bike frame. 2x20mm high-density foam.
  • FORK PROTECT : padded protection for your fork to prevent damage to it or the bag during transport.
  • HANDLEBAR PROTECT : A travel bag to store your disassembled handlebars, avoiding any damage or scratches during transport.
  • SADDLE PROTECT : protection to prevent damage to your bike's saddle during transport.
  • PEDALS PROTECT : protection to prevent pedals from damaging or tearing the inside of the bag.

Is it better to keep the rear wheel or remove it for bike transport?

We always recommend keeping the wheel rear for two main reasons:

The drivetrain and in particular the rear derailleur as well as the chainstays and seatstays are fully protected by keeping the wheel rear on the bike.

It's much quicker to stow your bike in its travel bag if you only need to remove the Front wheel.

Folding not ergonomic

The bag is less practical than the old version. Folded into its storage bag, it still takes up too much space, unlike the previous version which folded in 2. Unpleasant surprise as this is the reason I had bought this bag "more compact" than the TrainBagTravel+

thank you for your return and your loyalty!
We opted for a reduced folding to less damage The bag during a long period of disuse. the Storage bag is only slightly larger indeed but allows more storage to put your stuff that will travel with The bag : shoes, clothes, helmets etc.
We felt that the 'bag folded' footprint was less important than retaining the good characteristics of the foam for better protection.

I am very pleased with this bag. It's well padded, the wheels are well protected and so is my racing bike. I didn't need to disassemble the handlebars and saddle, and I was also able to fit all my bike stuff in The bag. I've taken the TGV and the plane with it and had no problems. The bike was always intact at the finish. The only downside is that the weight of carrying it on my shoulder made a real impression on my shoulders as I walked. Small Rollers clips would make this bag perfect.

Great but

The train bag is amazing, but I was very surprised/disappointed to find out the announced measurements of the bag when folded were not the same ones as told on the product page.
