Do I need any additional accessories if I buy a Buds bike bag?
The bag itself is sufficient for transporting the bike. However, if you wish to maximize the safety of your bike during transport, we strongly recommend that you add the accessories.
We can never be sure that improper handling during transport will not damage the bike or its structure. That's why we've created a complete range of innovative accessories that effectively protect your bike, guaranteeing safe transportation.
What accessories are recommended for MTBAG TRAVEL ?
Here is a list of accessories perfectly compatible with the MTBAG TRAVEL :
- FRAME PROTECT MAXI: complete frame protection for your bike frame. 2x20mm high-density foam.
- FORK PROTECT: padded protection for your fork to prevent damage to the fork or bag during transport.
- HANDLEBAR PROTECT: a storage bag for your disassembled handlebars, preventing damage or scratches during transport.
- SADDLE PROTECT: protection to prevent damage to your bike's saddle during transport.
- PEDALS PROTECT: protection to prevent the pedals from damaging or tearing the inside of the bag.

We always recommend keeping the rear wheel for two main reasons:
The drivetrain, and in particular the rear derailleur, as well as the chainstays and seatstays, are fully protected by keeping the rear wheel on the bike.
It's much quicker to pack your bike in its travel bag if you only have to remove the front wheel.
TSA approved: what is it?
The TSA approved label only applies to padlocks and locks used to secure luggage. It guarantees that TSA agents (American security) can open and close your lock using a universal key, without damaging the luggage in the event of a check.
👉 There is no specific TSA standard for bike bags or cases: only locks can be certified. To travel with peace of mind with your bike, simply use one or more TSA padlocks on your cover or suitcase.
