Compatible with road and gravel bikes
Measure your bike's dimensions as shown in the image to ensure it fits perfectly in the bag. The saddle height may need to be adjusted depending on your bike.
In the vast majority of cases, removing the handlebars will not be necessary; it will simply be a matter of positioning them at 90° as shown in the diagram below:

Do I need any additional accessories if I buy a bicycle carrying case? Buds -Sports?
The bag itself is sufficient for transporting the bicycle. However, if you wish to maximize the security of your bicycle during transport, we strongly advise you to add the accessories.
We are never completely safe from mishandling during transport that could damage the bicycle or its frame. That's why we've created a complete range of innovative accessories that effectively protect your bike, ensuring safe transport.
What accessories are recommended with the ROADBAG TRAVEL ?
Here is a list of accessories that are perfectly compatible with the ROADBAG TRAVEL :
- FRAME PROTECT MAXI : Complete frame protection to fully protect your bicycle frame. 2x20mm high-density foam.
- FORK PROTECT : padded protection for your fork to prevent it from getting damaged or damaging the bag during transport.
- SADDLE PROTECT : protection to prevent damage to your bicycle saddle during transport.
- PEDALS PROTECT : protection to prevent the pedals from damaging or tearing the inside of the bag.
Is it better to keep the rear wheel on or remove it for transporting the bike?
We always advise you to keep the rear wheel for two main reasons:
The transmission, and in particular the rear derailleur, as well as the chainstays and seatstays, are fully protected by the rear wheel support on the bike.
It is much faster to pack your bike into its travel bag if you only need to remove the front wheel.
TSA approved: what is it?
The TSA approved marking applies only to padlocks and locks used to secure luggage. It guarantees that TSA agents (US security) can open and close your padlock using a universal key, without damaging the luggage during inspection.
👉 There is no specific TSA standard for bike bags or cases : only the locks themselves can be certified. To travel with peace of mind with your bike, simply use one or more TSA locks on your bag or case.
The wheel cover is very effective and provides good protection during transport; the quality is definitely there.
I bought a Roadbag Travel I'm using this cover to travel to Florida with my road bike. Being able to keep the rear wheel on the bike is one of the reasons I chose this cover; it's really practical and naturally protects the rear derailleur and drivetrain!
Beyond that, the cover is very well designed with very thick and dense padding.
I travelled with Air France and checking the bike in was no problem.
In the end I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and my bike suffered no damage, that's the main thing!

It's as described and functional, I have a feeling I'm going to use it a lot! (And yet I'm particularly meticulous with my bike...)
Overall, it's a good product, but having to lower the saddle to close the cover is particularly annoying. I should mention that I'm not a giant; I'm only 1.81 meters tall, and yet the saddle on my road bike is far too high for the cover's capacity.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sure you'll agree that it's difficult to find the right shape for all bike sizes (from T48 to T61) and for all possible saddle heights. I think we've found a good compromise that allows most users to install their road bike and travel by plane at a lower cost, with efficiency confirmed by other reliable reviews. Increasing the height of the cover solely for the saddle would be pointless and would result in a cover where the bike would be unnecessarily loose. Furthermore, lowering the saddle helps limit impacts that could also damage the frame (lever effect)... and therefore, the most compact design possible remains the best basic solution. This compromise normally allows for saddle heights between 10 and 15 cm, which is the average recorded. It's true that a larger saddle height (15 to 20cm) on a size L/XL bike is once again not feasible with an 'airplane cover' (and with any existing cover). The only solution is to switch to the Trainbag Travel (Remove both wheels) with an additional maxi frame protect to compensate for the difference in foam thickness... and your bike will be perfectly protected. Excellent bag, provides good protection (used with the additional kit).
For an XL bike, I have to lower the saddle to the minimum.
The protective cover provided is clearly too small and therefore completely useless... it would have been better to request the desired size.
