Buds Sports at the heart of the XC world circuit with Team Origine Racing Division

We announced a few weeks ago in an article which you can find here our partnership with Team Origine Racing Division, whom we are supporting for their first season in the XC World Cup.

At the beginning of July, the Team was present in the Pyrenees, more precisely in Andorra, in the Pal Arinsal resort for the 6th round of the World Cup.

We took the opportunity, Carla, Manon and I, to travel from our offices in Carcassonne, to immerse ourselves in the heart of the world circuit and follow from the inside, as close as possible to the staff and drivers, the unfolding of a race weekend.

This immersive experience provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with the team and gather valuable feedback on the use of our bike and luggage transport bags. A weekend rich in learning and emotion that we invite you to relive with us!

Pal Arinsal: a route designed for spectacle

Nestled in the heart of the Andorran Pyrenees, the Pal Arinsal resort is renowned for its technical and physically demanding terrain. On the menu: roots, steep climbs, challenging descents, and constant changes of pace. For two days, we were thrilled by the explosive starts, technical sections, and enthusiastic crowds.

Reunion with Team Origine

In the paddock, Maxime Marotte and Mathieu Durand, the team managers, gave us a warm welcome. Despite a tightly scheduled day, packed with reconnaissance, briefings, and last-minute adjustments, we were given a complete tour of the facility. The entire team was present, focused, but always available to chat. It's in moments like these that our partnership truly shines: seeing our covers, transport solutions, and luggage used by the team during their travels is the best proof that our equipment meets the demands of top-level competition.

The races: a great spectacle!

On the track, we closely followed Martina Berta's performance in the Women's Elite race on Friday, and Mathis Azzaro's in the Men's Elite race the following day. Two intense races, fought flat out from the first lap to the last. The technical sections, the accelerations, everything was decided on the edge!
Unfortunately for Martina, a fall will dash all her hopes of a podium finish when she was well on her way to a top 3.
Mathis, however, manages to stand out and secures a superb 3rd place!

At Buds , we like to say that we don't just supply equipment. Being there, on the ground, means understanding what the riders and staff experience, seeing what works, what can be improved, and continuing to evolve our products with them.
This immersive weekend has strengthened our bond with Team Origine Racing Division. We leave with wonderful memories… and a few ideas for future innovations.
