Do I need any additional accessories if I buy a bicycle carrying case? Buds -Sports?
The bag itself is sufficient for transporting the bicycle. However, if you wish to maximize the security of your bicycle during transport, we strongly advise you to add the accessories.
We are never completely safe from mishandling during transport that could damage the bicycle or its frame. That's why we've created a complete range of innovative accessories that effectively protect your bike, ensuring safe transport.
What accessories are recommended with the TRAINBAG CLASSIC ?
Here is a list of accessories we recommend to further protect your cover TRAINBAG CLASSIC :
- FRAME PROTECT MAXI : Complete frame protection to fully protect your bicycle frame. 2x20mm high-density foam.
- REAR BIKE PROTECT : a rigid and padded protective cover for your rear derailleur
- FORK PROTECT : padded protection for your fork to prevent it from getting damaged or damaging the bag during transport.

Is it better to keep the rear wheel on or remove it for transporting the bike?
We always advise you to keep the rear wheel for two main reasons:
The transmission, and in particular the rear derailleur, as well as the chainstays and seatstays, are fully protected by the rear wheel support on the bike.
It is much faster to pack your bike into its travel bag if you only need to remove the front wheel.
What are the differences between the TRAINBAG CLASSIC and the TRAINBAG ORIGINAL ?
There are two differences between the TRAINBAG CLASSIC and the TRAINBAG ORIGINAL :
The wheel pockets are padded on the TRAINBAG ORIGINAL whereas they are not on the CLASSIC.
Furthermore, the fabric used for the ORIGINAL is slightly thicker than that used for the CLASSIC.
In the end TRAINBAG CLASSIC It is lighter and more compact when packed in its carrying case.
Bought my first BUDS bag a week ago and used it to travel to Berlin in Flix- and DB-trains this weekend. After many years of struggeling with non-working reservations in ICE bike compartments this was truely a revelation. I cycled to the station, packed my bike on the platform, and upon arrival simply reassembled flew home. No extra costs, no reservation needed. This is train traveling with bicycle made easy.

Sac de transport pratique et à première vue solide (2 utilisations). Le renforcement au niveau des moyeux des roues est bienvenu. Seul défaut, la pochette de transport est très (trop) petite, replier le sac dans sa pochette demande une certaine expertise... Je pense que cette sacoche gagnerait à être un peu moins serrée.
Par ailleurs j'ai été très bien accueilli au local de Carcassonne pour récupérer ma commande :)

Je recommande tout de même de prendre des protections supplémentaires, notamment la protection à mettre sous le cadre pour le surélever ainsi que la protection de dérailleur, quand on porte la housse en bandoulière avec le vélo dedans, la housse vient appuyer contre le dérailleur donc attention quand même si vous avez des dérailleurs haut de gamme ;)
Sinon super housse, mais j'ai pas de comparatif !
TRAINBAG CLASSIC
je suis ravie de mon sac qui m'a permis de transporter mon vélo démonté dans le train sans souci, peu de rembourrage mais c'était convenu à l'achat et on fait attention pendant le transport, les sacoches scratch pour les roues et les petits renforts de côté pour le pédalier suffisent, un paquetage facile, housse pratique transportable sur le guidon, tout est conforme à la description du site, envoi dans les délais et remboursement immédiat d'une différence de prix suite à un changement de modèle de dernière minute, c'est dans l'équipe Bud's!
TRAINBAG CLASSIC
Gravel XL Origine Trail avec roues en 40 et porte bagage arrière TUBUS Titane, équipé de protection dérailleur : Tout s'insère correctement et la housse est fermée sans avoir besoin de baisser la selle et sortir le cintre.
Bien compacte une fois pliée et le sac peut être également posé au-dessus d'un porte bagage arrière (entre sacoches arrières) si sacoche de guidon par ailleurs.
Juste bien avoir à l'esprit qu'il faut insérer le velo dans la housse en respectant un sens : le cintre placé entre les roues (sinon pas possible de fermer et les velcros ne sont pas en face des endroits prévus à leurs utilisations).
J'ai acheté la housse TrainBag Original pour un trajet en TGV avec mon vélo de route, et je suis vraiment satisfait ! La housse est solide, facile à plier et légère, ce qui est super pratique pour les déplacements. Elle protège bien le vélo, notamment avec les renforts pour les roues. J'avais un peu peur des manipulations dans le train, mais elle s'en sort parfaitement. Elle est suffisamment compacte pour respecter les dimensions imposées par la SNCF, et je n’ai eu aucun souci pour la transporter. Un excellent rapport qualité-prix pour ceux qui voyagent souvent avec leur vélo.

Cette housse est très fonctionnelle, j'ai apprécié de pouvoir rentrer avec mon vélo sale sans me salir. Bien sûr cela n'efface pas le poids du vélo mais c'est un vrai confort.
TRAINBAG CLASSIC 2024
Le portage est un peu pénible en particulier quand on est petite ! Pourquoi ne pas envisager un système de portage style sac à dos (personnellement je vais étudier la question car pas convaincue du tout par les bretelles à l'épaule. Par contre le transport du sac vide est vraiment très bien

Le TRAINBAG CLASSIC est doté depuis cette année, comme toutes nos housses, de anses réglables. C'était en effet une demande récurrente de nos clients.
Vous devriez donc être en mesure régler correctement les anses de votre housse afin de faciliter le portage.
Le système de portage type sac à dos est également une très bonne idée à laquelle nous avons déjà réfléchi, mais elle ne serait pas adaptée pour le TRAINBAG CLASSIC dont la vocation première est d'être une housse légère et compacte.

Utilisé pour un premier déplacement en train sans avoir testé la housse au préalable, je n'ai eu aucune difficulté à faire rentrer le vélo de route démonté dans la house sur le quai de la gare. J'ai quand même aussi démonté le derrailleur arrière (sans enlever la chaine) pour éviter d'abîmer celui ci. La house une fois pliée prend relativement peu de place. Je vous recommande le trainbag classic qui est simple et efficace.
