Do I need any additional accessories if I buy a Buds bike bag?
The bag itself is sufficient for transporting the bike. However, if you wish to maximize the safety of your bike during transport, we strongly recommend that you add the accessories.
We can never be sure that improper handling during transport will not damage the bike or its structure. That's why we've created a complete range of innovative accessories that effectively protect your bike, guaranteeing safe transportation.
What accessories are recommended for TRAINBAG LIGHT ?
Here is a list of accessories we recommend to complete the protection of your TRAINBAG LIGHT cover:
- FRAME PROTECT MAXI: complete frame protection for your bike frame. 2x20mm high-density foam.
- REAR BIKE PROTECT: a rigid, padded protective shell for your rear derailleur
- FORK PROTECT: padded protection for your fork to prevent damage to the fork or bag during transport.
- HANDLEBAR PROTECT: a storage bag for your disassembled handlebars, preventing damage or scratches during transport.
- SADDLE PROTECT: protection to prevent damage to your bike's saddle during transport.
- PEDALS PROTECT: protection to prevent the pedals from damaging or tearing the inside of the bag.
- UNIVERSAL SUPPORT: an ultra-practical little accessory that prevents the bike from resting directly on the ground once the two wheels have been removed.
Is it better to keep the rear wheel or remove it for transporting the bike?
We always recommend keeping the rear wheel for two main reasons:
The drivetrain, and in particular the rear derailleur, as well as the chainstays and seatstays, are fully protected by keeping the rear wheel on the bike.
It's much quicker to pack your bike in its travel bag if you only have to remove the front wheel.

Exactly as described
The TrainBag Light is a great option for those who travel by train with their bike. It's ultra-light and folds easily, which is a real plus when you need to move fast. It's well within the dimensions required for the train, and my road bike was well protected throughout the journey. I particularly appreciated how easy it was to store and how little space it took up. Perfect for traveling cyclists looking for a practical, no-fuss solution!
Ich habe die Trainbag Light bestellt und diesen Sommer in französichen, deutschen und italienischen Zügen ausprobiert. Die Tasche ist einfach aufgebaut und das Fahrrad lässt sich auf diese Weise gut, insbesondere mit der separat zu kaufenden Support-Stütze (damit das Fahrrad sicher steht), transportieren und im Zug verstauen. So umgeht man die komplizierte Fahrrad-Stellplatz-Reservierung.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist der tolle Service des BUDS. Ich musste eine Ware umtauschen und mir wurde stets schnell geantwortet und jedes Mal sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend weiter geholfen.
