Do I need any additional accessories if I buy a Buds bike bag?
The bag itself is sufficient for transporting the bike. However, if you wish to maximize the safety of your bike during transport, we strongly recommend that you add the accessories.
We can never be sure that improper handling during transport will not damage the bike or its structure. That's why we've created a complete range of innovative accessories that effectively protect your bike, guaranteeing safe transportation.
What accessories are recommended for TRAINBAG CLASSIC ?
Here is a list of accessories we recommend to complete the protection of your TRAINBAG CLASSIC cover:
- FRAME PROTECT MAXI: complete frame protection for your bike frame. 2x20mm high-density foam.
- REAR BIKE PROTECT: a rigid, padded protective shell for your rear derailleur
- FORK PROTECT: padded protection for your fork to prevent damage to the fork or bag during transport.
- HANDLEBAR PROTECT: a storage bag for your disassembled handlebars, preventing damage or scratches during transport.
- SADDLE PROTECT: protection to prevent damage to your bike's saddle during transport.
- PEDALS PROTECT: protection to prevent the pedals from damaging or tearing the inside of the bag.
- UNIVERSAL SUPPORT: an ultra-practical little accessory that prevents the bike from resting directly on the ground once the two wheels have been removed.
Is it better to keep the rear wheel or remove it for transporting the bike?
We always recommend keeping the rear wheel for two main reasons:
The drivetrain, and in particular the rear derailleur, as well as the chainstays and seatstays, are fully protected by keeping the rear wheel on the bike.
It's much quicker to pack your bike in its travel bag if you only have to remove the front wheel.

Housse un peu fine et fragile pour le prix, à la premiere utilisation de petits trous d'usure sont apparus. Aucune attache interne pour fixer le velo, dommage, il vaut mieux acheter les protections supplémentaires pour la fourche et pédalier.
Le côté pliable est tres bien. L'envoi était rapide et pratique.
Superbe housse.
Je recommande tout de même de prendre des protections supplémentaires, notamment la protection à mettre sous le cadre pour le surélever ainsi que la protection de dérailleur, quand on porte la housse en bandoulière avec le vélo dedans, la housse vient appuyer contre le dérailleur donc attention quand même si vous avez des dérailleurs haut de gamme ;)
Sinon super housse, mais j'ai pas de comparatif !

i used the cover on my MTB before an enduro outing. result: no scratches on my bike despite the stones thrown up. very satisfied!
I'm delighted with my bag, which allowed me to transport my disassembled bike on the train without a hitch. There's not much padding, but that was agreed when I bought it, and we're careful during transport, the scratch bags for the wheels and the little side reinforcements for the crankset are enough, it's easy to pack, a practical cover that can be carried on the handlebars, everything conforms to the description on the site, shipment on time and immediate reimbursement of a price difference following a last-minute model change, it's all part of the Bud's team!
